5.4.2

Replacing the electronic modules

The  MPA  valve  terminal  is  fitted  with  one  electronic  module
per  sub−base.    It  provides  for  4  valve  locations  the  contact
between  the  electrical  linking  and  the  solenoid  coils.    The
LEDs  (function  see  chapter  4)  and  further  electronic  compo
nents  are  an  integral  part  of  the  electronic  module.

Caution

The electronic modules may be damaged if they are not
handled correctly.

·

Switch off the power supply before removing the elec
tronic modules.

·

Do not therefore touch any contact surfaces.

·

Observe the regulations for handling electrostatically
sensitive components.

·

Discharge  yourself  electrostatically  before  fitting  or  re
moving  components  in  order  to  protect  the  components
against  discharges  of  static  electricity.

Before  removing  the  electronic  module,  you  must  first  remove
all  valve  plates  or  blanking  plates  on  the  relevant  electronic
module  (see  section  Removing  valve  plates  or  blanking
plates).

Dismantling

Proceed as follows:

1. Loosen the screws with which the electronic module is

fastened to the sub−base.

2. Pull the electronic module upwards out of the body of the

sub−base.
