6. MOUNTING TO THE TRACTOR
CAUTION:
•
Secure the machine against rolling away.
•
Before mounting and dismounting the ma-
chine to/from lower link assembly put control
device to a position that impedes unwanted
lifting and lowering.
•
In the area of lower links there is danger of
injuries due to crushing and shearing points
•
When actuating external control for lower
links do not walk between tractor and imple-
ment.
•
Mounting to tractor is only admissible in case
of accordance of standardised lower link
category. Take care for correct state of safety
and fixing devices.
•
The lower links of the tractor must be laterally
locked.
6.1 Coupling of machine
The standard model of the rotary windrower is
equipped for connection to lower links Cat. 2. By
changing the position of the lower link levers, lower
links of Cat. 1 also can be fitted from outside onto the
lower link lugs (fig. 1).
Couple lower link of tractor with lower link bolts of
machine and secure with folding plugs.
Lift lower links until longitudinal frame will be in hori-
zontal position and lock in this position.
6.2 Lift parking support, lock it and secure with
folding plugs (fig. 2).
6.3 Connect hydraulic group (see fig. 16)
Connect hydraulic hose for rotor elevation to a single
acting control valve with lock-type floating position.
CAUTION:
•
All pressure must be released in the tractor
hydraulic circuit and in the implement hydrau-
lic circuit before connecting the hydraulic
hoses to the tractor hydraulics.
•
Both male and female couplings of hydraulic
function lines between tractor and baler
should be marked to avoid operator errors.
Confusing the couplings reverses the func-
tions (e. g. raise/lower). Safety hazard!
6.4 Adaptation of the PTO shaft (Fig. 4)
CAUTION:
•
Only use universal drive shafts specified by
the
manufacturer.
•
Always disengage the PTO shaft, stop the
engine and remove the main switch key
(ignition key) before attaching or detaching
the universal drive shaft.
•
Before switching on PTO-shaft check that
locking device of drive shaft is tightly locked
into
position.
•
Do not exceed PTO-shaft speed of 540 r.p.m.
•
Secure the protective tubes of the propshaft
by means of a chain, in order to prevent them
from turning along with the shaft!
•
When parking the machine secure p.t.o.-shaft
with chain at headrack (fig. 2).
Comply with operating instructions provided by
manufacturer of drive shaft.
Transmission shaft main drive line:
Profiled tubes must overlap at least by b=300 mm
(11.8’’) in the most unfavourable operating conditions,
and the must remain with a safety clearance of a=25
mm (1’’) from the fork end of the universal joint in
most retracted condition (narrowest corners
-
fig. 4).
Before any use always check drive shaft for correct
installation, function and for complete equipment with
all protective devices.
6.5 Traction cables
Lay the two traction cables into the driver’s cab and
attach them so that they are ready to hand.
6.6 Illumination
Plug 7-pole plug for illumination to tractor.
7. ROAD
TRANSPORT
Before driving on public roads:
7.1
Fold guard up (fig. 5).
7.2
Remove the 3 outer tine arms at each rotor, rest
in deposit and secure with plugs (fig. 6).
7.3
Unlock lifting limiting device by means of cables
and lift rotors until safety locking device engage
in place.
