7.2.1. Starting and setting up HyperTerminal

The HyperTerminal application is a component of the Windows operating system and can be found
in 'Programs/Accessories/Communication'. Please see the Windows operating system documenta-
tion for further details.

To start the HyperTerminal application go to:
Windows Start
menu/Programs/Accessories/Communications.

Create a new connection by entering a name
(e.g. Update ID CPR.03 ) and select an icon for
the connection.

Note:
If a configuration already exists from a pre-
vious update you can press 'Cancel' and
open the existing configuration from the
HyperTerminal menu 'File/Open'.

In the next dialog the used COM port can be selected, confirm with 'OK'.
