To Adjust the White Balance
1. Start the app and select Tools >
White Balance
.
2. Point the handset at an object that is white or gray, and position the handset so that the box on screen
is completely filled with one color. (If nothing in the area you plan to scan is white or gray, you can
use the reference plate, or even just a piece of white paper.) If you expect to scan with the flashlight,
you can press the left button to
Start Flash
.

3. When the selection box is filled with a white or gray object, press the center button on the handset to
lock the white balance.
4. Move handset around in the area, looking at the colors represented on screen and comparing them with
the colors you actually see. If the colors match, press the center button on the handset to
Apply
the
changes and exit white balancing. If they don’t match, press the right button to try again.
Scanning
Tips for Successful Scanning
Scanning with Freestyle 2 is easy, but there are some guidelines which will help you get the best results.

Plan how you will scan the objects of interest before you begin, taking the following contradictory
recommendations into consideration:
