3. LADDER FUNCTIONING AND USE:
Do not use the ladder before having carefully read this chapter.
3.1 INTENDED USE
The ladder has been designed and constructed to allow only one person at a time to climb up and down
the ladder carrying small objects for a total weight within the declared carrying capacity. Any other use is
to be considered improper.
Therefore, follow the instructions below for proper use:
• The ladder may only be used by one person at a time.
• Before activating ladder movement, always check that there are no obstacles in the range of action of
the ladder, be they persons, pets or objects.
• The ladder must always be left in fully folded position and unfolded (fully resting on the ground) only
for the short time necessary to use it. Do not leave the ladder unattended if it is in the intermediate
position.
• Before using the ladder make sure that it is fully unfolded and that both the end rollers rest firmly on
the ground.
• Always use the handrails when climbing up and down the ladder.
• Always face the ladder when climbing up and down.
• Always climb up and down the ladder using both feet and one hand as simultaneous support or grip
(3-point grip rule).
3.2 NOT PERMITTED USES
This ladder model is unsuitable for installation:
• in the places of work
• in places where explosive atmospheres may form.
The following conduct should be avoided:
• Do not allow persons to enter the range of action of the ladder when it is moving (flashlight active).
• Do not use the ladder to hoist things or persons.
• Do not allow children under the age of 12 or persons with reduced capacity to use the ladder without supervision.
• Do not climb up or down the ladder when it is moving or not fully unfolded and resting on the floor.
• Do not manually force ladder movement.
• Do not wear unsuitable shoes (flip flops) or shoes with wet and slippery undersoles when using the
