Mains filters
In order for the QC-PDS FAGOR system to meet the
European Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility
2014/30/EU, a mains filter must also be installed against
electromagnetic disturbances. The optional filters
provided by FAGOR ensure the compliance of the QC-
PDS system itself with the currently effective directive.
The installation of the mains filter requires a good
grounding and that its distance to the main power supply
be as short as possible.
They may be installed either horizontally or vertically.
The three-phase line is connected to the terminals on
top of the module and the load to those at the bottom.
See the label found on the front of the equipment where
these terminals are shown in full detail.

between the - KM1 contactor and the regenerative
power supply.

The range of multi-pole

to make the power connections is shown in the attached
table.
These are supplied without connectors because the
power connector will usually be different depending on
the motor it is connected to. The number of meters of
cable is available upon request.
It is available in lengths of 5, 10, 15, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100,
150, 200, 250 and 300 meters for sections up to 10 mm²
(inclusive) and 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50,
75, and 100 meters for larger sections.

Single-pole power cables
The range of single-pole shielded MPC-1x

power ca-
bles supplied on request by FAGOR to make the power
connections is shown in the attached table. These are
supplied without any pins. The number of cable meters is
available on request. Lengths of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35,
40, 45 and 50 meters are available for 50, 70, 95, 120 y
150 mm² sections.
With one single-pole cable per phase:

catalog when installing the QC-PDS drive system. See

INFORMATION.
This does not guarantee the compliance with such EU
directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility regarding the
machine because it may have other devices that could
cause disturbances.

INFORMATION.
In order for FAGOR'S QC-PDS system to meet the
European Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility
2014/30/EU, the rules on equipment installation must be
strictly followed regarding:
Installation of the main filter MAIN FILTER XA-A.
Electrical power installation: wiring to mains and
motor/drive power connection.

MANDATORY.
The length of any cable used in the installation of the QC-
PDS system must be shorter than 30 m, except for the
power (motor), feedback (encoder), Ethernet cables
(SERCOS-III interface) and fiber optic cables (SERCOS-
II interface), which may exceed this length.
MANDATORY.
The dielectric insulation of the cable must be enough to
withstand the test voltage at a minimum of 2 000 V AC
for 5 min for cables supporting voltages over 50 V AC
(alternating current) or 120 V DC (direct current). Refer
to the recommendations of the cable manufacturer
before doing the installation.
MANDATORY.
In order for the system to comply with the European
Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2014/30/EU,
the cable hose carrying 4 or 6 cables, depending on
whether the motor has a brake or not, must be shielded
and also connected at both ends; i.e. both at the drive
end and a the motor end. This condition is a must.
