Summit Family Switches Hardware Installation Guide

Mid-Mounting a Switch in a Two-Post Rack

To mid-mount a Summit X460 series switch in a two-post rack:

Attach an ESD-preventive wrist strap to your bare wrist and connect the metal end to an appropriate
ground point on the rack.

On one side of the switch, set the bracket against the switch housing, with the flange toward the
back of the switch (see

Figure 180

Use six of the provided screws to secure the bracket to the switch housing.

Repeat step

to attach the other bracket to the other side of the switch.
