CONNECTIONS AND POLARITY 

 

MIG (GMAW) with Spool Gun*

 

*The feeder connection located under the spool cover must be located on the posi-

tive terminal.  MIG requires that the gun be used with a positive polarity. Keep in 

mind that if the gun is used with steel flux

core wire the work connection must be 

positive and the gun connection must re

connected negative under the spool cover.
