PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
3.1
Modular systems
IRtec
radiation thermometers uses a modular structure and component interchangeability to ensure an instrument
to be exactly suited for each particular application. The modular construction allows an easy add and substitution
of any option directly on the field. It also simplifies field troubleshooting, repair and calibration.
Different lenses, filters, IR sensors, electronic module, target sighting systems and accessories provide over 100
possible standard instruments to exactly fulfil your application requirement.

Basic elements
IRtec radiation thermometers contains the following basic elements: optical system, detector, and signal-
processing electronic. The general features of these elements are first examined in the following sections.
