Note for the Optional IEEE
1394 Module
The IEEE 1394 is a high-speed
serial interface. Many exter-
nal devices with IEEE 1394
support are available on the
market, such as external
hard disk drives & digital
cameras.
Before you purchase or use
any IEEE 1394 device, be sure
to check and see if the de-
vice can supply power on its
own. The optional IEEE 1394
module only supports
SELF-
POWERED
IEEE 1394 devices
though the IEEE 1394 port on
the rear panel is a standard
6-pin port.
