d) Selecting the desired temperature unit °C or °F
• Press the “°C/°F” (6) key to select different temperature unit.
e) Windchill indication
• When the “windmill” is rotating, wind velocity and temperature will be shown on the display.
• When the temperature drops below 0 °C, the windchill symbol will be shown on the display.
Explanation Windchill
• The windchill feature is supposed to convey an impression of the felt cold that arises from the
combination of actual air temperature and wind velocity on human skin.
f) Activate/deactivate background illumination
• Background illumination can be activated by pressing any of the keys.
• If there is no key pressed for 5 seconds, the background illumination is switched off and the
anemometer powers off after 12 minutes automatically.
g) Battery replacement
To ensure an optimal indication accuracy, we recommend to replace the battery of the
anemometer at least once a year.
When changing the battery, proceed as follows:
• Open the battery compartment in the backside using a screwdriver.
• Remove the used batteries.
• Insert a new 3V button cell of the type CR2032 while regarding the correct polarity (the
positive pole must head upwards).
• Close the battery compartment.
• Switch on the anemometer by pressing the key “MODE” (5) and keeping it pressed for about
1 second.
Care and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free.
•
To clean the outside of the devices, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Battery
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash
icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
