Check idle position of the electrode dedusting

A screw is located on the electrode dedusting drive
wheel which actuates the position switch for the idle
position of the electrode dedusting.

Through the maintenance opening on the top,
check whether the striking mechanisms are

nearly  horizonal  in  the  idle  position.  If  not,  the  delay
time  (=  parameter  [Electrode  dedusting  switch]  ->
[Switch-off  lag])  must  be  adjusted  in  the  control
system.

Checking the ease of movement of the striking
mechanisms

Check the ease of movement of all striking
mechanisms. If there is resistance, remove the striking
mechanism, clean the hole and reinstall.

CAUTION!

Do not lubricate the striking mechanisms

Never lubricate the striking mechanisms
with oil, grease or other lubricants, since ash
adheres to the lubricant and will cause en-
crustation and sluggishness.

Installing the panels

Reattach the panels over the electrode dedusting
drive.
