Assembly (Cont.)
Step 3: Installing the Saddle
It is key to adjust the overall seat height
so that it is comfortable for you, based on
your riding preferences and height (see
page 16). It is important to remember that
Mountain Bike seats are usually positioned
higher than road bike seats.
1. The saddle is pre-assembled on the
bike. Make sure that the minimum
insertion mark on the seat post is
completely inserted into the frame and
not visible.
2. Use the multipurpose tool to loosen the
seat post screw (Fig. 18 and Fig. 19).
3. When adjusting the seat post height,
please pay attention to the seat post
cable, and avoid over-stretching it.
4. Re-tighten the screw when you have
achieved the desired seat post height.
5. The seat angle must be adjusted so
that the top of the seat is parallel to
the ground and comfortable for the
rider (Fig. 20). To do so, adjust the two
screws at the top of the seat post.
Loosen the back screw and tighten
front screw to tip the seat forward.
Loosen the front screw and tighten the
back screw to tip the seat back.
IMPORTANT!
• Pay special attention to the insertion warning mark.
• Test the seat to pedal distance by having the rider sit on the seat. When the
rider's leg is slightly bent, the ball of the foot should rest on the pedal when it
is in its lowest position and the feet of a seated rider can reach the ground. If
it does not, adjust the seat height as necessary.
• Check for tightness by attempting to twist the seat. If the seat is loose, be
sure to tighten the clamp nut and binder bolt nut securely.
