5.0 TROUBLE SHOOTING
SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE CAUSE

I. Pilot will not light after
repeated triggering of the
remote control
– intermittent
pilot
A. No spark at electrode (weak or not heat source for pilot ignition)
1. Improper ignition 1. A
lign the electrode with 1/8” (3mm) gap to
pilot hood
2. Poor connections at starter and
ignition electrode 2. Reconnect if loose
1. Broken ceramic cover on
ignition electrode
3. Replace pilot assembly
2. Battery power low or dead 4. Replace batteries
B. No gas or low gas pressure
5. Gas line shut off(s) may not be
