According to its serial number, each of the peripherals is classified by an activity type. The activity type
is assigned with a location on the premises. The assignment of an activity type is essential for
recognizing activities and defining a resident daily routine. Therefore, it is important that the
peripherals are installed in their assigned locations.
NOTE:
The CP is not assigned a location. It is up to you, the installer, to
determine the best location on the premises to place the CP.

Peripheral Location Labels
To further ensure that the peripherals are installed in their assigned locations, Essence provides you
with location labels, as shown in
Figure 7.

Apply the location labels to the peripherals according to their serial numbers in the list provided on
the kit label, on the inside of the kit cover. For example, Figure 8 shows the PIR assigned to the
bedroom with the bedroom label.
