Login to the Cradlepoint and navigate to NETWORKING | VLAN INTERFACES
Look where port 0U is. If it is in LAN, the Ethernet Connector is set to work for an SPM Flex or other
Ethernet-connected instrument. The 0U port needs to be configured as WAN for the Gateway to
obtain internet via Ethernet.
To move the port to WAN, put a checkmark in the LAN box and select EDIT.
Check Port 0 and remove it. Say Yes to confirm and click Save
Back at the VLAN INTERFACES
window, put a checkmark in WAN and
select EDIT.
Add Port 0 with a mode of Untagged
and click SAVE
Click Save again.
Navigate to Connection Manager and selected DEVICES
Scroll the list until you see the Ethernet profile and drag Ethernet to the top of the list

The Ethernet profile should now show ‘Connected’ in the CONDITIONS column
If the Ethernet profile does not show ‘Connected’ in the CONDITIONS column, see the section

Troubleshooting WiFi and Ethernet internet sources
After modifying the Cradlepoint to use either a WiFi or Ethernet source and the profile doesn’t show as
‘Connected’, try the steps below until the profile displays as ‘connected’.
Remove the checkmark in the Availability column from all other profiles – except for the one you
want to use
Wait a minute or two to see if the profile changes to connected. If not, continue to the next steps.
