Adding the Smart Gateway MeterApp to a Survey Controller Run
The metrics in the Smart Gateway MeterApp can be added to a Survey Controller Run. This enables you to
request Deployment Manager alarms and notifications to be configured on those metrics so you can be
alerted when things such as the Smart Gateway battery level are decreasing or internal temperature is
increasing.
NOTE: It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to use Survey Controller’s ‘Reading Interval’ feature when adding
the Smart Gateway MeterApp to a run. Each ‘sensor’ in the MeterApp collects readings every second. By
specifying a reading interval in Survey Controller of perhaps 5 minutes for the Smart Gateway MeterApp,
you will greatly reduce the number of readings recorded. Refer to the Viper User Guide – Section 3, Part E
for additional information on configuring readings intervals in Survey Controller.
