Disabling WiFi Security 

 

By default, the Viper Smart Gateways are configured with an SSID of EPAERT1 and require a security 
password.  There may be some instances when having an ‘open’ WiFi connection is desirable (e.g., a LINC 
is not security enabled and cannot connect to the EPAERT1 network).  In this instance, Wireless Security 
Settings can be modified n the EPAERT1 Smart Gateway Cradlepoint to unsecure the WiFi network.  
 

1.  Connect to the EPAERT1 network. 
2.  Open a browser (Chrome is preferred), navigate to 

https://192.168.4.1

. 

3.  Enter User Name and 

contact 

[email protected]

 to obtain the 

password

.

Local Networks
