Error messages
The RA 4500 D carries out an automatic error diagnosis. The result of a diagnosis is
outputted as an error code. The string “Err” then appears as the first three characters
of the display. At the same time, the error code is displayed as the fourth character. The
error codes are listed in Table 4. Error messages may also be confirmed with the control
buttons.

Error description
Safety switch-off heat monitoring (

)
If the heating of the solder bath or heating plate is switched on, then the control station
must detect a temperature increase of the solder bath within the heating monitoring
period (approximately 15 minutes). If the station does not detect a rise in temperature,
then the error message is outputted and the heating of the device is switched off. The
error message can be acknowledged using an arbitrary control button, thereby switching
the devices heater back on and resuming the monitoring.
The heating process is monitored only in Programs 1 to 4. Program 5 does not include
any heater monitoring. Program 5 can accordingly be used for special applications.
Attention! Fire Hazard!
While running the control station in program 5 the user must assure that
the connected device is not overheated. Never leave the device unat-
tended, while running this program
