Calibration feature (

)
This feature serves the calibration of the temperature sensor. The function allows you to
compare the display value against the actual solder temperature. The adjustable calibra-
tion range is ± 50°C (±120°F). While the control station can operate at up to 600°C, the
calibration range decreases with setpoints greater than 550°C (1022°F). The calibration
can then be set only to the maximum possible difference: 600°C (1112°F) - setpoint. If the
control station has already been calibrated, then the setpoint is limited to the maximum
of 600 °C (1112 °F) - calibration value . The precise procedure for calibration is described
in section 5.6.
5.3.6
Energy feature (

)
The energy feature allows the user to influence the control characteristics of the station,
for adapting the reheating at the station to the given type of application. Three settings
(values 1-3) are possible; their different characteristics are shown in the figure.
5.3.7
Password feature (

)
By means of the password feature, the station can be protected against accidental or unau
-
thorized parameter changes. The password can be entered in the form of a number between
0 and 999. The value 0 (display: 000) indicates that the password feature is disabled. After a
sequence of digits has been entered and confirmed by pressing the ENTER key, three dashes
(- - -) are displayed. The station is password-protected as of this point in time. All settings can
still be viewed.
To disable the password feature, the three dashes (- - -) are displayed again in the corre-
sponding menu. The password must now be entered and confirmed with the ENTER key. If
the password is correct, then the three zeros (000) are again displayed; the dashes remain
displayed in the event of an error.
