Setting up the IP Address

4.1.1

Connecting the Terminal

With the help of the following information, connect a VT100
terminal (or emulator) to the RS-232 port. This connector is
used to set the IP address of the MX8400 prior to
connection to the network on which nCompass Control
resides.

Use the

setip

command to configure the IP address of each of the multiplexer’s

control Ethernet ports via the RS-232 terminal.

address to 192.168.0.82.
