10.1 AUGER
Problem: Possible Cause: Solution:
Augers do not start
when start button is
pushed.
-No electrical supply to the
main control unit.
-Auger remote control is not
switched ON
-Hydraulics selector valve set
to drive instead of auger
-Tractor hydraulics not
running, supplying adequate
flow
-Poor connection on plugs
-Auger electronic system
faulty
-Hydraulic rotational valve
not selected for forward or
reverse rotation
-Ensure that the power for the
auger controls is connected to the
tractor
-Switch ON the auger remote
control
-Set the selector valve correctly
-Ensure auger hydraulics are
connected to the tractor and that
tractor hydraulics is operational.
-Go through all the plugs on the
auger electronic system and secure
-Perform manual override function
on the auger
-Select desired auger rotational
direction
Augers running
slowly
-Auger/Drive hydraulics of Air
Cart not connected to the
power beyond of the tractor
-Flow restricted from tractor
-Filter blocked
-Ensure auger hydraulics are
connected to the power beyond of
the tractor
-Ensure no flow is restricted from
the tractor. Check that the return
line is secured
-Check and replace
Augers running noisy
-Lack of lubrication on auger
bearings
-Failed auger bearings
-Lubricate auger bearings
-Replace bearings
