6.5.2. Glass Crusher Repair
If the glass crusher stalls often, check that all of the carbide tips are present:
•
Four on each crusher bar: two on each side of the shaft
•
Six on the right side of the crusher housing
If you need to replace the carbide tips on the crusher bars, follow these steps:
1.
Using a roll punch, push the screw out of the crusher bar.
2.
Put some green Loctite on the new tip.
3.
Push it in.
If you need to replace the carbide tips on the housing, follow these steps:
1.
Unscrew the nuts holding the tips in place and then remove the tips.
2.
Put some green Loctite on the tips and push them into the holes.
Warning!
Make sure to disconnect power to the compactor before attempting
any repairs.
