5.7 External start device
Proceed as follows to operate the generator using the
external start device.
The follow ing requirements must be fulfilled:

Generator is ready for operation

Connect up the external start device as follows:
1. Unscrew cover
(Fig. 5-8-(2)
on the external start socket
(Fig.
5-8-(1))

2. Insert plug for the external energy source connecting
cable (e.g. starter battery) / external start socket into the
external start socket and lock in place by turning to the
right.
External start device is ready for use.
The engine can be started using the electrical start.
Disconnect the external start device as follows:
1. Release the plug by turning to the left and then pull the
external energy source / external start socket plug out.
2. Screw protective cap for the external start socket back on
again.
