Electric band heater up to 20 m (66 ft) and more (connection in the control box):
If the hoses and the electric band heater have not already been connected in the factory, proceed as
follows:
1.
Remove the plug from the thermal switch's feeder cable with an edge-cutter.
2.
Loosen the nut on the Pg hose gland from the end of the spiral hose.
3.
Pull the thin filtrate hose first and then the thermal switch incl. its feeder cable through the nut.
4.
Guide all hose ends and the thermal switch through the hole into the control box.
5.
Insert the Pg hose gland into the hole and screw the nut on tight.
6.
Remove the foamed plastic pad from the pipe socket. Slide the thermal switch into the pipe
socket, such that the end of the electric band heater is at the top and the feeder cable is at the
bottom.
7.
Push the foamed plastic pad over the thermal switch into the pipe socket.
"
Caution!
There is a micro thermostat for the housing heater in the pipe socket. Be careful when inserting the
thermal switch because there is not much space to work in.
8.
Guide the feeder cable for the thermal switch through the cable duct (
11, pos. 2) to the
connection box (pos. 5). For electrical connection, please read the chapter “Wiring”.
9.
Cut the filtrate hose to the right length.
10. Insert the hose into the fitting on the pressure side (top) of the pump.
11. Now lay the sample line from the control box to the measuring devices. Where possible, use
available cable ducts or empty underground pipes. With the corresponding order, the filtrate
hose is protected by the electric band heater over the entire area exposed to frost.
Electric band heater > 20 m (66 ft) (connection in the measuring device compartment):
Guide the line (opposite end from the thermal switch) and the electric band heater from the measu-
ring device compartment to the control box.
1.
Guide the thermal switch near to the electrical connection (in the measuring device
compartment) into the open. Insert the thermal switch plug into an earth leakage breaker
protected socket.
2.
Lay the line with the electric band heater to the control box. For this, use available cable ducts
or empty pipes.
3.
Slide electric band heater, compressed air hose, filtrate hose and the spiral hose far enough into
the Pg gland that the spiral hose is flush inside.
4.
Tighten the Pg gland.
5.
Proceed as described above from item 8 for connection of the band heater in the control box.
