Metal, ungrounded piping
In order to prevent outside influences on measurement, it is necessary to use ground cables to connect each
sensor flange to its corresponding pipe flange and ground the flanges. Connect the transmitter or sensor con-
nection housing, as applicable, to ground potential by means of the ground terminal provided for the purpose
(see diagram).
The ground cable for flange-to-flange connections can be ordered separately as an accessory from

by the flange screws (A).

Ground cables which are preinstalled on the sensor flange, are also available. These ground cables can be
mounted and connected electrically to the piping in different ways:
• Using a screw on the side of the pipe flange (a)
• Using the flange screws (b)
• Using a pipe clip installed around the pipe (c)
