5. INSTALLATION
• The system must be equipped with drainages at the lowest points of
itself.
• At the highest points it will be foreseen by the air vents.
• The presence of solid particles in the water can cause the exchanger to
become blocked. It is therefore necessary to protect the heat exchanger
inlet through a removable mesh filter. The drilling gauge of the filter
mesh must be at least 10 meshes / cm2.
• After assembly and after each repair, it is important to check the condi-
tion of cleaning of the filter.
• Make sure that the components installed in the hydraulic pipes are able
to withstand the water pressure.
• Never use components with galvanized coating in the water circuit.
Excessive corrosion of these components could be missed.
• The unit must only be used in a closed water system. Application in an
open water circuit can cause excessive corrosion of the water pipes.
The water connections must be made in accordance with the scheme and
instructions provided by the heating system designer, respecting the entry
and exit of the water in the pump.
The hydraulic circuit must however be made following the following
recommendations:
• If air, humidity or dust get inside the water circuit, problems could
rise, so use only clean pipes and cover the end of the pipe when it is inser-
ted through a wall, to prevent entry of dust and dirt.
• Use a good thread sealant to seal the connections. The seal must be able
to withstand plant pressures and temperatures.
• All pipes must be adequately fixed.
• The entire water circuit, including all the pipes, must be insulated to
prevent the formation of condensation in summer operation and to con-
tain heat loss.
• It is advisable to use shut-off valves to isolate the most important com-
ponents of the system. These valves, usually sphere valves , must be
sized so as to give rise to the minimum possible pressure drop when
they are in the open position.
• It is necessary to install the pressure gauge to monitor the water pres-
sure in the system.

5.4 Hydraulic system
Hydraulic connections
The hydraulic connections must be carried out by qualified personnel
and in compliance with the regulations in force in the place of installation of the unit.
Example of scheme for systems with underfloor heating and cooling
with fan coil units.
