While the Heat Pump produces water suitable for the operation of the fan
coils (see chap. 8.5), the mixing valve regulates the delivery temperature
to the radiant system, mixing it with the return one from the same. The set
temperature for the mixing valve is given by the climatic curves (see chap.
8.6) and is displayed in Par.
236.
The valve opening percentage can be viewed in Par.
240.
Mixing Valve
Connect the 0-10 V DC mixing valve (code 28157220) to the TERMINAL
BLOCK PCB according to the diagram below::

Nota.
The electrical connections shown above refer to the use of the 0-10
V mixing valve Code 28157220 in which a 1k
Ω
resistor must be placed,
to convert the seg 0-20 mA to the + and - terminals, in the 0 signal -10V
useful for the valve.
Delivery water temperature probe to the radiant system
• Place the temperature probe 10 k
Ω
at 25 ° C (code 0724510) in the probe
holder of the Emmeti control unit (Floor Control Unit).
• Connect the temperature probe between terminals 3-4 of the TERMINAL
BLOCK PCB
Note:
The maximum probe installation distance is 20 m.
• Move switch SW6 on the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB from 1 to 2:
•

Booster Pump
Connect the booster pump, of the Emmeti control unit (Floor Control Unit),
to the PCB TERMINAL BLOCK according to the diagram below:

8.13 Anti-freeze protection in SMART-MT
controller
To enable the antifreeze protection in the SMART-MT controller, the one
inside the heat pump must be disabled.
It is therefore necessary to move the dip switch n ° 1 to Off:
If frost protection is enabled in the SMART-MT controller, you have
Par. 241 = ON
(default) and the following operation:
1) When the outdoor temperature drops below the value set in
Par. 243
(default = 3 ° C), the Pump1 circulator (first level antifreeze) is activated
for 30 seconds every 30 minutes.
2) If he temperature of the water, inlet or outlet of the heat pump
(Par.109 / 111)
, drops below the value set in
Par. 242
(default = 2 ° C), Pump1 circulator (first level antifreeze) is activated
and remains active until it is reached:
H

O temp
in-out HP
>
Par. 242 + Par. 245.
3) If the water temperature at the inlet or outlet of the heat pump
(par.109 / 111)
, drops below the value set in
Par. 244
(default = 1 ° C) the compressor is activated (second protection level, wa-
ter heating via HP) with water set point temperature =
Par 246
(default
15 ° C), and remains active until it is reached:

Par. 244 + Par. 245
Note:
The anti-freeze protection in the SMART-MT controller is effective
as long as there is power supply to the heat pump and water circulation
inside the hydraulic circuit is guaranteed.
To change the intervention thresholds of the antifreeze protection, contact
the authorized service center.
