Step 2: Launch the Hovermap App
Open the Hovermap App.
When prompted to allow permission for the USB flash drive, press Just Once . If you do not get
this notification, it can be for one of three reasons:
Try unplugging and plugging back in the USB flash drive to see the permissions notification.
The Hovermap App already has USB permissions.
Default permissions have been set for the USB connection to either the Hovermap App or
another app. If this is the case, remove any USB default permissions for all applications.
With USB permissions correctly set, the Hovermap-Zoe information and battery data should be
available in the Hovermap App. If not, recheck the USB permissions and then check the serial
connection cable between Zoe and the Hovermap unit.
Ensure that there are no critical errors reported by Zoe. If there are any errors, refer to the
Emergency Procedures section for more information.
Step 3: Check the Hovermap App settings
These settings will vary, depending on the autonomy mode you are using. Follow the process outlined
for your desired autonomy mode.
Mapping mode
Press the Hovermap Wi-Fi Connection button to connect to Hovermap’s Wi-Fi.
Network name: hvm100_xxxx (xxxx is Hovermap’s serial number)
Password: hovermap
Once connected, the button will go green and will show the signal strength. This is indicated by
the number of bars shown. You should hear the “Hovermap connected” audio.
Open the Settings menu. Make sure that the following settings are correct:
RC Mode: Set according to your personal preference.
App Update: Check that the app is up to date.
Press the Mission button.
Set the scan name.
Start a scan.
