Note: 

Malfunction in the event of incorrect addressing 

Make sure that in an overall system consisting of the VersaSafe system and a PROFIsafe 
system, the addresses are unique. Duplicate address assignment is not permitted.

Malfunction during mixed operation

During simultaneous use of IC220SDL953 and IC220SDL963 on a controller, make sure 
that the island number of the IC220SDL963 system is >= 8. 

•

 

This should be checked during overall validation of the system. 

 

The VersaSafe address of the IC220SDL963 is the same as the island number of the 
module. 

The VersaSafe address of a satellite consists of the island number and the position in the 
bus navigator of the VersaConf Safety software tool. 

Enter the address for the IC220SDL963 in VersaConf Safety.
