Fir s t, open the s hutoff valve all the
way and s ee if your connection s are
watertight. If there are any lea ks
carefully re-tighten all connection s .
FILL THE TANK & CONNECT POWER

Chec k all connection s to en s ure they
are tight and that there are no lea ks ,
then plug in in s tant hot water tan k .
Allow 10-15 minutes for water to reach
target temperature. Gurgling or hissing is
normal during the initial heating cycle.
Steam and/or hot water coming from the
spout without pressing down on the handle
is also normal. If steam is still emitted after
setup, thermostat adjustments may be
needed (pg. 11).
Pre ss valve lever down for about 20
s econd s until water freely run s out of
the s pout. Hold valve open at lea s t 60
s econd s to let the water run to flu s h
out the line s .
Water will be cold since tank has not
been plugged in yet.

line from the di s pen s er s o it fit s into
the cold water s upply. With one hand,
s upport the copper line coming out
of the tan k and bend the tube with
the other hand.
Do not kink. Bend tube carefully.

Pu s h the tube end all the way into
the T-fitting or valve. Hold the tube
end in po
s ition and pu s h the ferrule
down a s far a s it will go. Then,
tighten the nut over the ferrule with
your finger
s . Ma k e s ure the tube
end i s going s traight into the hole.
Then tighten the nut firmly with a
1/2" wrench.
When connecting to a compre ss ion
type T-fitting or valve, remove the
nut and ferrule (round bra
ss piece)
from the fitting. Then, place the nut
followed by the ferrule over the end
of the tube coming from the
di
s pen s er .
