Always follow the safety instructions when using elec-
trical appliances (this minimises the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury or damage to property) . Read

• Do not use the appliance if the power cord is
damaged . If the power cord is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer’s
representative (a damaged power cord is a hazard) .
Position the ice maker so that you can always get
access to its plug . Only plug into a correctly earthed
wall socket . No other appliance should be plugged
into the same wall socket . Make sure the plug is
correctly inserted in the wall socket .
• Do not place the power cord on mats or heat
sources . Do not cover the cord . Position the cord
out of the way of people and where there is no risk
of water getting near it .
• We recommend that you do not use an extension
cable (this may overheat and become a fire hazard) .
• Unplug the ice maker from the power supply before
cleaning or carrying out repairs/servicing .
• Be very careful when using the appliance near
children . Never leave the appliance unattended
when children are near .
