3.4.6 Locking the controls
• You can lock the controls to prevent unintended use (such
as children accidentally turning the cooking zones on).
• When the controls are locked, all the controls except the
ON/OFF control are disabled.
To lock the controls
Touch the lock control
The timer indicator will show “ Lo ”
To unlock the controls
Touch and hold the lock control
for a while.
When the hob is in lock mode, all the controls are
disabled except ON/OFF
.
You can turn off the
induction hob at any time with the ON/OFF
con-
trol in an emergency, but you must unlock the hob
first before you can use it again.
3.4.7 Timer control
You can use the timer in two different ways:
•
You can use it as a minute minder. In this case, the
timer will not turn any cooking zone off when the set
time is up.
•
You can set it to turn one or more cooking zones off
after the set time is up. The maximum timer duration
is 99 minutes.
a) Using the timer as a minute minder
If you do not select any cooking zone
Make sure the hob is turned on and
atleast one cooking zone is
operating. Note: you can use the
minute minder even if you have not
selected any cooking zone.
Touch the timer control, the number
“10” will appear in the timer display
where touched and the “0” will flash.
Set the time by touching the slider control (e.g. 6).
Touch the timer control again,
the “1” will flash.
Set the time by touching the slider control (e.g. 9); now
you have set the timer for 96 minutes.
The buzzer will beep for 30 seconds and the timer indica-
tor will show “- -” when the set time has run out.
b) Setting the timer to turn one or more
cooking zones off
This feature switches off the selected cooking zones
when the timer has run out.
Setting one zone
Touch to select the heating zone that you want to
set the timer for.
Touch the timer control, the number “10” will appear
in the timer display and the “0” will flash.
Set the time by touching the slider control (e.g. 6).
Touch the timer control again, the “1” will flash.
Set the time by touching the slider control (e.g. 9);
now you have set the timer for 96 minutes.
When the time is set, it will begin to count down
immediately.
The display will show the remaining time and the
timer indicator will flash for 5 seconds
When the cooking timer expires, the corresponding
cooking zone will be switched off automatically.
