6: Hardware Installation

conditions (time on battery backup). A LOW BATTERY indicator on the display screen
tells you when replacement is needed.

Follow these steps to install the battery:

1. Before replacing the battery, download all memory files to your computer, as data

may be lost.

2. Remove power from the meter.

3. Remove the external meter cover and the internal shroud. If the meter is in a

switchboard case, lift the locking latch and remove the switchboard case’s front
bezel. If the meter was in a socket form, remove the outer, clear cover by rotating
it counter-clockwise.

4. Remove the old battery with a screwdriver or similar tool.

5. Place the new battery in the battery holder.

IMPORTANT!

You must insert the replacement battery into the holder correctly.

Otherwise proper contact will not be achieved and the meter may lose log memory
and time functions.
