5-3. Other problems
Problem Possible cause and remedy
1. The adjustment menu does not appear. • Checkwhethertheoperationlockfunctionworks(see “3-4.

2. (When using EcoView Sense)
The images remain to be displayed when
you move away from the monitor. / The
images do not reappear when you come
near it.
• Checkthesettingenvironmentofthemonitor.Presence
Sensormaynotworkcorrectlyinthefollowing
environments.
-Thereissomethingthatreflectsthelightsuchasmirror
orglassinfrontofthesensor.
-Themonitorislocatedinaplacethatreceivesdirect
sunlight.
-Thereissomeinfrareddevicenearthemonitor.
-Thereissomeobstacleinfrontofthesensor.
• Checkwhetheranydirtonthesensor.Cleanthesensor
withasoftcloth.
• Checkwhetheryouareinfrontofthemonitor.The
infraredrayisemittedverticallyfromthesensortodetect
aperson.
3. The monitor connected with the USB cable
is not detected. / USB devices connected
to the monitor does not work.
• CheckwhethertheUSBcableisconnectedcorrectly(see
“6-4.MakingUseofUSB(UniversalSerialBus)”(page27) ).
• ChangetheUSBporttoanotherone.IfthePCor
peripheraldevicesworkscorrectlybychangingtheUSB
port,contactyourlocaldealer.(Refertothemanualofthe
PCfordetails.)
• RebootthePC.
• IftheperipheraldevicesworkcorrectlywhenthePCand
peripheraldevicesareconnecteddirectly,pleasecontact
yourlocaldealer.
• CheckwhetherthePCandOSareUSBcompliant.(For
USBcomplianceoftherespectivedevices,consulttheir
manufacturers.)
• CheckthePC’sBIOSsettingforUSBwhenusing
Windows.(RefertothemanualofthePCfordetails.)
4. The power turns off during operation and
no image is displayed.
• Whentheinternaltemperatureisextremelyhigh,the
monitorandACadapterturnoffautomatically.Ifthepower
switchisturnedonagainwhilethetemperatureremains
high,thepowerturnsoffagaininoneminute.
• Changetheinstallationlocationorenvironment,andthen
turnitonagainafewminuteslater.
-Theventilationslotmustnotbeclosed.
-Thereisnohightemperatureobjectaround.
• Ifthepowerisnotturnedonevenaftertheinstallation
locationorenvironmenthaschanged,contactyourlocal
dealer.
Attention
• Do not block the ventilation slots for the monitor or AC adapter,
and do not use the monitor or AC adapter in a poorly-ventilated
area.
5. The operation sound of the fan for the AC
adapter is noticeable.
• TheACadapterisequippedwithafantoavoidriseinthe
internaltemperature.Theoperationsoundmaybeheard
dependingontheinstallationlocation.However,itisnota
problem.
• ChangetheinstallationlocationoftheACadapterorthe
orientationofthefanventilationslot.
