1.4 Switching
functions
The key-operated switch of the door terminal or
terminal module has two momentary contact
functions which - depending on the output status -
initiate differing switching processes.
1.4.1 Temporary
release
From the "locked status", turning
momentarily to the right initiates a
temporary release. This means that the
current to the locking element is interrupted for a
certain time and after expiry of this time then switches
back on. The door can be passed though once during
this time window. (Note "Door open monitoring" on
the right!)
1.4.2 Permanent
unlocking
Turning the key-operated switch
momentarily to the left initiates a permanent
unlocking status. The door can then be passed
through freely or also held open.
The same function can also be initiated by an external
key - for example in a central control and monitoring
panel.
A permanent unlocking status can also be initiated
using an external switch with continuous contact, for
example from a time switch.
1.4.3 Locking
From the "unlocked" status, turning the
key-operated switch momentarily to the
right locks the door, provided no alarm criterion is
active and the door is closed.
When the door is open, the command is not
accepted.
1.4.4 Alarm
reset
Turning the key-operated switch momentarily to the
left in the "Alarm" status switches off an
alarm, the door is switched to permanent
unlocking. The green LED starts to flash if
the alarm criterion is still active. When the
cause of the alarm has been remedied, the green
LED stops flashing. It is now possible for the door to
be locked again by turning the key to the right.
