4d Then close the chest harness.
5 Upon purchasing or prior to initial use correct fit
and proper adjustment must be verified by a hang-in
test in a safe place. When the harness has been ad-
justed correctly, a ten-minute hang-in test must not
result in impaired respiration or pain.
6 Regularly check adjusting elements, tie-in point
and connection knot during use.
7 Do not use a chest harness (type D) without a sit
harness (type C).
8 You may wash harnesses with hand-warm water an
a mild soap. Upon washing rinse the harness in clear
water. Standard disinfectants may be used, if
needed.
9 Use harnesses only in a temperature range from
-35 to +55 °C.
10 Do not wash harnesses in a washing machine.
11 Do not dry harnesses by exposure to sunlight.
12 Do not dry harnesses by placing them on radia-
tors or comparable heat sources.
13 Store and dry harnesses in cool, dry surroundings
protected from direct UV radiation.
14 The load-bearing structure of the harness must
not come in contact with acid, e. g. battery acid,
aggressive substances or other chemicals. Icing may
impair the strength. Do not write on the belt. Protect
it from strong abrasion or sharp edges. Do not
damage or modify it. Do not subject it to extreme
heat or sparking. Protect it from sunlight.
