ORKING MODES

operating parameters and make operations not requiring light 
source on. Unit is waiting for command of light source

Mode during status change of light sources. It is used during 
start (LAMPS IGNITION), shutdown (LAMPS DEINIT) and 
update (LAMPS UPDATE) of light sources. In this menu are 
not available any settings and commands. Mode can be 
interrupted by pressing key 

LAMP

. 

Lamp preheating 
LAMP PREHEAT 
LPP 

Mode of lamp preheating. It can be skipped by pressing key 
ESC or completely cancel entire process of initialization by 
pressing key 

LAMP

Optical calibration 
OPTICAL CALIBRATION 
OPC 

Mode of unit optical calibration. In this menu are not available 
any settings and commands. Mode may be interrupted by 
pressing key 

LAMP

Wavelength setting 
SET WAVELENGTH

Mode of wavelength setting. In this menu are not available 
any settings and commands and it is not possible to interrupt 
it. 

Automatic zeroing 
AUTOZERO 
AZR 

In this mode the detector is preparing analogue circuits of the 
unit for absorbance measuring and it zeroes output signal. 
None settings and commands are available and it is not 
possible to interrupt it. 

Absorbance measuring 
MEASURE ABSORBACE 
ABS 

Mode of absorbance measuring. Majority of commands and 
settings is available.  

Scan measuring 
SCAN 
SCN 

Measuring of scan intensity (INTENSITY) or energy 
(ENERGY). None settings are available and it is not possible 
to interrupt it. 

Other 

The unit contains several other modes used for special 
purposes. 

8. RS232 

The unit enables communication via line RS232. On the unit is connector Canon DB9 male 

and on the cable, must be Cannon DB9 female connector. For connecting must be used shielded 
cable,  containing  on  both  sides  connectors  Canon  DB9  female.  Parameters  for  connection  are 
115 200 Baud,  8 data  bit,  1 start  bit,  1 stop  bit,  no  parity.  Unit  communicates  based  on 
communication protocol, available upon request.
