Understanding how your machine works will help you achieve the best results when using your chipper/shredder/
blower. The following descriptions define the features and controls of your machine.
1. SHREDDER CHUTE
Materials no larger than 3/4" (1.9 cm) in diameter
are fed through the shredder chute to the shredder
knives.
2. CHIPPER CHUTE
Materials no larger than 5" (12.7 cm) to be chipped are
fed through the chipper chute to the chipper blades.
3. KNIFE ACCESS COVER
Remove this cover to access the shredder knives and
chipper blades.
4. DISCHARGE TUBE
Chips and shredded material exit through the
discharge tube. Adjust the position of the discharge
chute by rotating it with the discharge lock. The
discharge tube can be further adjusted by rotating
the discharge cap. Loosen the knobs located on
both sides of the discharge cap and adjust to desired
angle, retighten both knobs.
5. PTO SHAFT
Connects the tractor PTO to the chipper/shredder
drive shaft. Avoid an angle greater than 15 degrees
up or down when the machine is in use.
6. THREE-POINT HITCH CONNECTIONS
Mount the chipper/shredder to the tractor. Connect
directly to the tractor for Category 1. Category 0 may
require 5/8" pins. A bushing kit must be installed on
3-point connections for Category 2 hitches.
7. BELT SHIELD
Remove the belt shield to access the drive belt. Shield
is shown detached here for illustrative purposes only.
Do not operate without guards and shields in place.
8. SHREDDER ADJUSTER
Move the shredder adjuster lever up to produce
smaller sized shredded material. Move the shredder
adjuster lever down to produce larger sized shredded
material.
