*CLS
Positions all of the standardised registers to the state in which the user finds them
when the device is turned on.
*RST
Resets the device.
WARNING: the device returns to Local mode, take control of the device with the
REM command before any other command.

*STB?
Returns in NR1 format and in hexadecimal the value of the "STB" register (e.g.:
"#H80").
b0 0 = Safety loop circuit open
1 = Safety loop circuit closed
b1 0 = No error 1 = Error (incorrect voltage...)
b2 0 = End of test 1 = Test in progress
b3 0 = Test fail 1 = Test pass
b4 Not used
b5 logic OR of the bits of the ESR register
b6 logic OR of the bits of the STB register
b7 Not used
*SRE?
Returns in NR1 format and in hexadecimal the value of the SRE register (mask of the
STB register).
*ESR?
Returns in NR1 format and in hexadecimal the value of the ESR register.
b0 to b3 Not used
b4 1 = Type 2 dialogue error (numerical value out of bounds, command out of con-
text)
b5 1 = Type 1 dialogue error (incorrect syntax)
b6 Not used
b7 1 = Powered up
NOTE: The bits are reset after reading by the *ESR? command.
