Power Pole Over Temperature

SCR temperature is above limits

Operating environment above specified
maximum temperature

Ventilation holes blocked

Fans are not operational

Starts/hour exceed specifications

Sensor failure on power pole

Bypass contactor(s) failed to close

Ventilate to specified maximum temperatures

Clear obstructions

Verify fans are operational

Verify system is not exceeding the specified
maximum starts per hour

Verify bypass contacts are closing at the end of ramp
time

Reduce excessive cabinet temperature

16

Bypass Failure

Internal bypass contactor(s) not closed
and/or electrically sealed after ramp time

Contactor(s) opened in bypass

Verify all bypass contactor(s) close (audible noise)

Verify all bypass contactor(s) not opening during run
cycle due to excessive vibration and/or shock
Reduce levels of vibration and/or shock

Verify control power and wire size meet
specifications

Verify that the control power supply meets the
120 Vac voltage and current requirements of the

IT.

 soft starter
