0.1 Target group

This manual describes the EtherCAT connection DX-NET-ETHERCAT-2 for
the variable frequency drives of the DA1 device series.

It is aimed at experienced drive specialists and automation technicians.
A thorough knowledge of the EtherCAT field bus system and the program-
ming of a EtherCAT master is required. Knowledge of handling the DA1
variable frequency drive is also required.

Please read this manual carefully before installing and operating the Ether-
CAT connection.

We assume that you have a good knowledge of engineering fundamentals,
and that you are familiar with handling electrical systems and machines, as
well as with reading technical drawings.
