System EFX48 Problems (RM3-410/420 Models only)
Problem Possible Cause Required Action
EFX48 displays a dc power
system alarm message.
See Alarm Descriptions in the System
EFX48 Operation Handbook.
EFX48 display is blank and
green Power On LED is off.
The ac supply is off and the
batteries are not connected
because the Low Voltage
Disconnect (LVD) has
disconnected.
None. The power system including the
EFX48 will return to normal operation
when the ac supply is within its specified
voltage range.
Faulty Voltage Feed Module
(VFM) or faulty EFX48.
Replace faulty unit.
EFX48 display is blank and
green Power On LED is on.
EFX48 is in start-up mode Wait for start-up to complete. See
Starting the EFX48 on page 69.
Faulty EFX48
Bus voltage is less than 35V, ac
supply is off and batteries are
flat
Replace faulty EFX48.
None. The power system including the
EFX48 will return to normal operation
when the ac supply is within its specified
voltage range.
EFX48 Red LED or Yellow
LED is on.
An alarm is active. Check the type of alarm on the display or
with Web or SNMP commands.
Unable to change settings
from EFX48 navigation
