The 3-digit number used to identify

5% and

10% resistors corresponds to the last 3-digits of the
E.F. Johnson part number. This number is derived as
shown.
Example:
273 27k ohm
339 3.3 ohm
Some resistors with a
±
1% tolerance are identi-
fied by a 4-digit number and others may not have a
marking. When identified with a 4-digit number, the
first three digits are the value and the fourth is the
multiplier.
Example: 5761 5.76k ohm
