Troubleshooting

When a paper jam has occurred, a message appears on the LCD panel.
Follow the procedures below to remove the jammed document.

When a Paper Jam Has Occurred

WARNING

• Do not touch the tool. Doing so may cause injury.
• Before removing the jammed document make sure that the machine is fully stopped. Use

the pliers that came with the machine to prevent your hands or

ngers from being caught.

Press the JOG (Forward) key to eject the document.

Example: J3 Feed error

IMPORTANT

A paper jam has occurred in the document infeed area or feeding
area.
Follow the procedures below to remove the jammed document.

• Be sure to close the top cover when you

operate the machine. The machine does not
work if the top cover is open.

• The JOG (Backward) key is inactive when a

document is jammed or remains in the feed
area.

Press the STOP key to clear the error.
The machine will be reset and the error message will
be cleared.
