Any of up to sixteen sources may be selected and routed to any of up to four
destinations. Sources may be selected as audio, video or married.
Full monitoring is provided by coloured LED's showing which audio and video
sources have been selected for any destination.
Provision is made for a joystick over-ride to be connected to any output. LED's
indicate if the joystick has been used to over-ride any selection.
The operating power supply for the XY-Control panel is derived from the matrix to
which it is connected. In the event of power failure, the panel's integral battery
backup provides cross-point retention for the complete Routemaster system.
An XY panel can be mixed with button per cross-point panels to provide
independent control of some or all output levels.
An XY may also be used to control 16x8 Routemaster matrices. However, audio
breakaway is not then available.
Installation
The XY panel is normally supplied with this manual, splitter cable and full
interconnecting cables.
The operating power supply for the XY panel is derived from the Routemaster
matrix to which it is connected. Cross-point data retention is achieved via the
on-board battery within the panel.
All switches are factory preset for your installation. Switch functions are detailed
later in this section.
The joystick over-ride should, if required, be connected to the 9 way 'D' type
socket located on the rear of the panel as shown later in this section. Internal
switch SW1 should be set to select the required output channel as also shown
later in this section.
