Configure SNMP user profiles – this requires configuration of an SNMP Group for the user
profile to be assigned to, before proceeding with User profile configuration.
Available settings are explained as follows:
Item Description
User Name
Enter a name for creating new SNMP user.
Group
Choose one of the SNMP group from the drop down list.
Then, this user profile will be grouped under the selected
SNMP group.
Security Level
Specify SNMP security level for the group. It is available
when SNMPv3 is selected.
No Security – No authentication.
Authentication – Authentication without encryption will be
performed for packets.
Authentication and Privacy – Authentication with
encryption will be performed for packets.
Authentication Method
It is available when Authentication or Authentication
and Privacy is selected as security level.
Method – At present, available methods include
None, MD5 and SHA.
Password – Enter a password for the selected method.
Privacy
It is available when Authentication or Authentication
and Privacy is selected as security level.
Method –At present, available methods include DES and
None.
Password - Enter a password for the selected method.
