To 1) Use the built-in LED floodlight and increase the exposure time to the maximum possible
in the situation. Drive at reduced speed at high exposure times.
To 2) If possible, you can reduce the distance to the woodpile if the total height of the wood-
pile is still detected by the cameras and the minimum distance is not less than 1.90 m.
If this does not bring about any improvement, stop the measurement and continue
later.
To 3) Use the built-in LED floodlight and reduce the exposure time to the minimum possible
in the situation. If this does not bring about any improvement, it is usually sufficient to
wait a few minutes, so that the sun moves a few degrees further or is briefly covered
by a cloud.
To 4) Here only a removal of the obstacles is possible. In addition, internal rules of action
must be found as to whether, for example, if there is snow, it is acceptable for the
customer to refrain from correct piece counting and diameter distribution. The calcu-
lated area of the polygonal course coincides with the enclosed area, even if the wood-
pile face is partly covered.
To 5) The accuracy of the area is not adversely affected by poorly visible end faces, but rather
the ability of the system to correctly identify faces. Therefore, internal rules of action
must be found on how the user of the system has to deal with woodpiles that have
weathered faces.
With insufficient environmental conditions, the analysis is aborted automatically, so erroneous
measurements do not occur.
