Never store the apparatus with pressurized circuits

Important note

DIABLO PIZ “Ex” SCBA only in proven absence of explosive atmosphere.

Operations after use

13.1

Charging the cylinder

Ensure that the cylinder valve is closed and the circuit depressurized, then remove

the rubber cover (if present) and loosen the threaded connector connecting the

pressure reducer manually. Lift the free stretch of the locking band of the cylinder

and lift the buckle. Remove the cylinder and connect it to the charging station

taking care of the following requirements:

•

comply with the provisions of law regarding the containers of compressed air

and in particular verify that the test certificate of the cylinder has not expired,

•

recharge to the maximum working pressure stamped on the cylinder,

•

recharge with breathable air according to EN 12021.

13.2

Visual inspection

Ensure that the following components are not damaged or dirty:

•

backpack, harness, buckles and anchoring system of the cylinder,

•

o-ring on the pressure reducer connector to the cylinder,

•

quick couplings on the medium pressure hoses,

•

mask and demand

valve

Important Note

: in particular verify the possible presence of oxidation at the

surface of the cylinder and/or in correspondence of the metal parts.

If presence of oxidation is found on metallic parts, contact the service center of the

D.P.I. s.r.l..

13.3

Cleaning and disinfection

13.3.1

Mask

The mask must be cleaned after each use; disinfected if it is believed that it

remained polluted or if you change the operator. For more information on the

correct procedure refer to the manual of the specific model of mask where such

operations are explained in detail.

13.3.2

Demand Valve

Normally for cleaning the demand valve, simply remove the rubber protective

ring, wash with warm water and mild soap and thoroughly clean the demand

valve with a soft, dry cloth. Subsequently reassemble the rubber protection,

placing it in such a way that the slot present on the same, corresponds with the rib

on the dispenser body in correspondence of the medium pressure hose. If the kind

of contamination to which the demand valve has been subjected requires a more

thorough cleaning, disassembly of the device in its main components. This
