Wall cabinet
The wall cabinet is designed to accommodate and protect the apparatus. Must be
fixed to the wall with four screws and anchors suitable for the type of wall and has
a front cover with two vertical hinges for opening. It has inside a simple anchoring
system for the SCBA that adapts to different capacity of the cylinder. The closing
system, which combines the simplicity to the extreme ease of use, bears a handle
and offers the possibility to affix a padlock or other sealing device. The entire
cabinet is stove-enameled with epoxy powder and the characteristic red color
complements the classic lines of the design to make it extremely nice looking.

Quick-connection refilling system - “quick fill”.
6.7.1.
Description
The SCBA can be equipped, on request, with a high pressure quick-connection
refilling system for rapid charging of the cylinder. The quick-connection system at
high pressure, improperly known as "Quick Fill", basically consists of a balanced
quick coupling, placed on the cylinder valve, which allows the connection and
disconnection to a balanced valve which is connected to the charging source of
high pressure by an high pressure hose. The prerogative of the valve to be
balanced (i.e. opposite axial forces, two by two are balanced, with zero resultant),
allows the connection and disconnection with barely perceptible effort.
Both sides of the valve "male" and "female" are equipped with a non-return
device so once disconnected do not cause air leakage. Once connected, the air
transfer must be done with limitations to avoid mechanical stress and impulsive
overheating. To this end, the device provides for the presence in the valve of a
calibrated hole suitably arranged, which limits the filling rate (in the presence of a
pressure difference of 300 bar between the two environments placed in
connection) to a maximum flow rate which enables the complete charging of a 6.8
l. cylinder to 225 bar in about 3 minutes, which is considered an optimal
compromise between speed and absence of risk
The "male" side of the "Quick fill" is mounted on the cylinder valve upstream of
the closing device of the valve itself and therefore is always under pressure. It also
has a rubber cap to be always plugged on when the coupling is not connected, to
prevent ingress of dirt that might prevent proper operation.
In addition, the procedures of intervention, given the sufficient slowness of the
filling, allow to stop the fill when the desired pressure value is reached.
With such configuration the following functions are possible:
Normal cylinder refilling from the compressor
. The connection to the filling
hose (which must of course end with a female "Quick Fill" valve) is simple and
does not require, after charging, to depressurize the hose of the compressor. In
addition, charging of the cylinder can be done without removing the cylinder from
the backpack the SCBA.
